Memphis is famous for having some of the best Barbeque in the world. It is also home to the Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest, where tens of thousands of people come to pig out on BBQ.
Like in Carolina, Memphis most famous BBQ sandwich is slightly sweet pulled pork on a hamburger bun with coleslaw. After my first bite it has become my favorite way to eat barbecue.
In addition to the sweet bbq sauce there are also a lot of BBQ places in Memphis that specialize in homemade rubs.
